There are many paid options you can use including Pay per Click, Adsense etc.

Registering on Google Places is absolutely free and local searchers will find local businesses.  You cannot afford not to be registered with Google Places and you do not need a web page for this to work.  In fact, Google places is designed for those without a web presence.

If your embroidery business is not online, make this your first step!

Simply register using your current email address.  If you do not have an email then get your free gmail account in the process.  Go to www.google.com/places and follow the instructions and links.
