New Features V2.0

With the release of each new version of any software, there is usually a certain scepticism
from some and an eager anticipation from others.

For the release of Wilcom Embroidery Studio Version 2.0, I think even the sceptics will be impressed.

A question - or at least a comment - I have heard often enough at each new release
of any software is "I think they just add stuff in so we spend more money."

You could possibly be excused for thinking this -  if there was no advantage to upgrade
or update. When you think about it, everything from bicycles to software evolves
and builds on the previous technology.

You have to decide if the features justify the expense.

From my perspective as a digitizer, I look for quality improvements and time savers.

My first couple of videos deal with time saving features.

It is often the larger "glitzy" improvements that are touted in the release documentation
but often, it is the 'quieter' features that will be the most useful and the best time savers.

The Closest Join feature was added to Embroidery Studio V1.5 and saved a huge amount
of time, ending the need to move start and finish points after digitizing each object.

The problem was if you moved or resequenced an object, you were back to the
move start and finish point routine.

Not so any longer!   This alone probably saves me 10% to 15% of my digitizing time
on most designs.

How many times have you misjudged the size of the design when selecting a hoop?

Problem solved - with the Hoop It feature
